princess-of-helium:

sometimes i say some really awkward things and i dont notice it for about ten minutes after i have said the awkward thing but hey i still have friends how bad can it be

whats funny is that people you really like think the same thing

It’s ridiculous how many people i’m friends with on here have told me they’re sorry if they freaked me out when we first started speaking. And i continuously say really stupid things so i have no idea what they’re apologizing for.

its because most people are critical of themselves more so than of others. people take their faults seriously because they live with them, and accept others’ faults more easily because they dont seem so bad. or at least thats how it seems

Petition to get a Doctor Who episode that features Anne Frank. Because I was thinking that one of the things that should happen if the Doctor existed, is him landing the Tardis in Anne Frank’s hiding place and get her out of there. Or something similar to Vincent and the Doctor.

Or you can have it as a SPN episode where she is haunting bieber.

Or neither.

This isn’t something I talk about often, but it seems very disrespectful to try and rewrite history or try and rectify it through media. You dilute the lesson you are supposed to learn (and trivialize an event/person) when you do so. Imagine what the impact of All Quiet on the Western Front by Erich Maria Remarqu if someone had gripped Paul from the terror and misery of WW1? It would have been dampened. The book was meant to make you hate war, to make you outraged and depressed that something so pointless ever happened (and continues to happen). Sometimes the bad ending is what drives the purpose of the story across.

If Anne Frank was saved, then her story wouldn’t have the same potency that it does. It might make it seem like everything was okay, even. Featuring her in a popular TV show as someone being rescued by its main character would trivialize her struggles, even if it would appear like it was honoring Anne Frank.

Now I’m not trying to say that you can’t ever write historical fiction, or ever portray any historical event through media ever. That’s ridiculous. What I want to say is that there is a very certain way you have to go about it that takes seriousness, respect, and accuracy that is very hard to have in a TV show or normal movie.

And even if it’s a joke, writing Anne Frank as a ghost seeking revenge upon someone who doesn’t even deserve a thought is incredibly disrespectful. Not only are you introducing her into a joke, but making her into a viscous character who’s real life counterpart’s message was peace.

Really, I’m not trying to say that Supernatural and Doctor Who are terrible shows or can’t handle dramatic and serious issues, but there’s a way you need to go about severe historical events that takes more time than half and hour, and more realism than what is typical of those shows.

This is my fifteen year old sister, Hannah. She has a cyst on her pineal gland, which is in the middle of her brain. (From what I understand, a cyst is like a tumor but filled with liquid.) We’ve known about it for about two years, and it constantly gives her horrific headaches, that can last weeks. Her vision is getting very bad because of it too, and so is her quality of life, she’s started fainting and had a couple seizures recently. Just last week we had a Skype conference with one of the two neurosurgeons, in the world, who would potentially perform the surgery to remove it. (A lot of people have trouble getting this surgery approved, but because Hannah’s is one of the largest cysts in one of the youngest patients, it was approved.) Praise God. The surgery will take place in June, but only if we can pay the $50,000. We really need help raising this money.

Any amount helps.
Please keep her in your prayers.

Seriously guys, get on this. If my followers alone donated a dollar each it would make a huge difference. Please, you don’t know what this means to me, or Hannah, Natalie and Timmy for that matter.

Even if you can’t donate, reblogging helps too.

Saw this somewhere else and felt the need to post it cause no one else ever really tells you this stuff

My mom never really noticed. She noticed when she was breast feeding my little brother and blood started coming out instead of milk.

My mom said she felt and saw a little lump in the shower. She was lucky enough she found it at stage 2

My mom had a mammogram. The radiologist thought the spots were just regular calcium deposits.
Turns out it was triple negative breast cancer that had spread to her lymph nods. Mastectomy, radiation and chemo saved her life.
This could SAVE a life.
